Adam Reis, Owner
Adam Reis is an intellectual property attorney licensed to practice law in California and Illinois. His practice focuses on litigation and counseling in matters of patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret, primarily related to software, and arts and entertainment.
Adam has successfully litigated IP disputes in multiple U.S. District Courts, the International Trade Commission, and the American Arbitration Association, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. His patent work has involved technologies including software, dental appliances, consumer electronics, and automotive parts and accessories. In copyright and entertainment law, he has represented software owners in copyright and contract disputes, as well as musicians, photographers, sculptors, translators, and art dealers in disputes involving unauthorized use of creative works and misattribution. He also advises clients on IP strategy, licensing, and transactional matters, including drafting agreements for asset purchases, IP assignments and licenses, creative collaborations, and talent representation.
Adam received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he earned a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law and was named to the Dean’s Honor List. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Miami University. Before law school, Adam worked as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry.
